摘要：

Utterance, as a form of sentence, consists of “subjective” and “objectified” words/ expressions. Subjective words/expressions directly express what a speaker has in mind. This expression has been developed particularly in Japanese. We discuss this linguistic phenomenon through comparing Japanese with English and Chinese.
