It has been observed by the traditional grammarians and typologists that Hakka exhibits a ‘reversed’ order of double object constructions. This talk focuses on ditransitive sentences with such ordering and attempts to reach at a plausible structural account. Some thoughts on the linguistic variation will also be provided.
