In addition, there will be two related events prior to the colloquium:

1. Professor Sudo will give a lecture based on his recent work on plurality and the mass/count distinction on Monday, September 14, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm in B305, CHSS. All are welcome.

2. Professor I-Ta Chris Hsieh will introduce the background knowledge relevant to Professor Sudo's colloquium talk in his class on Thursday, September 10. The discussion is expected to begin at approximately 3:45 pm in C517, CHSS. All are welcome.
