Barbara Meisterernst（a.k.a. 梅思德 in Chinese）officially joined the faculty of NTHU linguistics as of August 1. She earned her Ph.D. from Institut für Sinologie und Ostasienkunde, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Germany. Her research interests include Chinese historical syntax and morpho-syntax, historical linguistcs, syntax-semantic interfaces and Buddhist Chinese. She also has extensive teaching experience with Chinese as a Second Language (CSL) and Chinese history and culture.
